Ristorante Garzadori

Possibly the best restaurant I have been to since coming to Italy two years ago. The food was great. The wine tasty and the dessert was fabulous. The service was consistent and friendly. It was a bonus that servers spoke English. We were a party of about 20, and we were served well. The restaurant appears to be spacious building, able to accommodate large groups. This place was a 9 out of 10!

This restaurant offers a wide variety of well elaborated options. The sea food was very fresh. Price is more on a high-end depending on what is ordered but one could definitely have also cheaper options. The wine offering is also good. The venue is big, with indoor and outdoor space. Cozy and well decorated. Dogs allowed inside and offered water. Cordial and attentive service, also in English. A tad slow at the beginning. One criticism: reservation and open hours not available online.

UPDATE: Still excellent all around. Good chicken tenders and crunchy. Perfectly cooked pizza (not a single burnt piece). Pasta was fantastic. Fantastic all around. FOOD: everything was prepared in their own style. All their appetizers were perfect: fried curry chicken, crunchy dishes with eggs. Never had or seen these before, but worth every bite. Pasta was also different then usually italian pasta and fantastic. A lot of sauce with little spiciness, and fresh shrimps on top were perfect. I was told their pizza are excellent as well. Will try that the next time. SERVICE: the best service I recieve in Vicenza, especially more noticeable after receiving the worst service from Tonazzo. Waiter spoke English well and very friendly. Never had to wait for drinks or meal. LOCATION: it is in ZTL so you will have to park and walk in. However, the garden in the back was perfect, shaded and cool. OVERALL: loved the food and loved the service. I will definitely be back for more and worth the five stars.

Ristorante Garzadori is one of the loveliest restaurants I've ever patronised. The garden courtyard (set in a 15th century building) soft warm lighting and chilled out music at the right volume make for a simply sublime setting that perfectly complements the outstanding food. We wandered here for a post-lunch drink and dessert and were so taken by the place and the charming host, Francesco, that we decided to return for dinner! Such a gem of a restaurant.
